Sharda School of Engineering & Technology (SSET) is proud to be a part of Sharda University, India’s truly global university that's among the top 5% of Higher Education Institutions in India granted NAAC A+ Grade. To let future engineers face the challenges of the future, Sharda's Engineering programmes provide students with the technical and scientific knowledge required to be at par with engineers across the globe. In line with the same thought, Sharda School of Engineering & Technology has recently announced the launch of a new Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programme in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR), Full Stack Development and BlockChain from 2023-24 batch.
The B.Tech programme, designed by industry experts and academic professionals, focuses on providing students with a comprehensive understanding of computer science and engineering principles, while also immersing them in the workings of augmented and virtual reality. With a curriculum that combines theoretical learning, practical training, and hands-on projects, Sharda University aims to produce highly skilled graduates who can meet the growing demand in various industries.
The Full Stack Development programme offered by Sharda University is designed to provide students with a holistic understanding of both front-end and back-end web development. The programme ensures that students acquire a strong foundation in programming languages, frameworks, and tools essential for building dynamic and interactive web applications. Sharda University has recently signed an MOU with Xebia Company in which their industry expert will visit Sharda University on a regular basis and will teach the latest technology to students as well.
The Blockchain Technology programme at Sharda University is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of blockchain principles, applications, and the underlying technology. The programme covers a wide range of topics, including blockchain fundamentals, cryptography, smart contracts, decentralized applications (DApps), distributed ledger technology, and blockchain security.
Mr Y.K Gupta the Pro-Chancellor said “AR VR has applications in many fields, including science, the arts, history, geography, medicine, and many more. It can bring the abstract and life-less concepts to reality and make the learning interesting, engaging, and interconnected”.
Dr Sibaram Khara, Vice-Chancellor expressed his pleasure about the brand-new programme, declaring, "Augmented and digital reality is revolutionizing several sectors, including gaming, entertainment, healthcare, education, and production. With the launch of our new programme, we intend to offer university students a completely unique opportunity to discover and excel in this contemporary discipline."
"By introducing the Full Stack Development programme, Sharda University demonstrates its commitment to providing industry-relevant education and preparing students for the evolving demands of the digital era," stated Dr. Parma Nand, Dean of Academic Affairs. Graduates are well-prepared to contribute to the expanding field of Full Stack Development thanks to the university's emphasis on practical training, industrial collaboration, and extensive curriculum.
Blockchain technology has the potential to revolutionize a number of industries, including finance, supply chain management, healthcare, and more, according to Dr. Nitin Rakesh, HoD CSE.
